Ramstein Defense Contact Group Summit Scheduled for February 12, 2025 in Brussels

The next Ramstein meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) is scheduled for February 12, 2025, in Brussels, Belgium. This meeting will be chaired by the United Kingdom, marking a shift from previous summits led by the United States.

The change in leadership comes after the United States, under the Trump administration, signaled a potential shift in its strategy towards Ukraine. The future of the Ramstein format remained uncertain during that period.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced in January that the summit would take place in Brussels ahead of the Munich Security Conference (February 14-16), but did not specify the format, stating that it depended on the American administration.

The UDCG, established in April 2022, brings together representatives from over 50 countries to coordinate military support for Ukraine. The upcoming summit is expected to focus on ongoing efforts to provide Ukraine with the necessary resources to defend itself against the ongoing Russian invasion.
