The ministers condemned Iran's destabilizing actions and reaffirmed commitment to a free, open, and secure Indo-Pacific, opposing any attempts to unilaterally alter the status quo by force. Concerns were raised regarding North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs, reaffirming commitment to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. The ministers urged North Korea to cease support for Russia's war against Ukraine and resolve abduction issues. Urgent conflict and instability situations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Haiti, and Venezuela were also discussed. The Foreign Ministers anticipate their upcoming meeting in Charlevoix, Quebec, from March 12-14.
