Punjab Hosts Teacher Training Program to Enhance STEM Education

Mohali, November 6, 2024: The Department of School Education in Punjab, in collaboration with Plaksha University, conducted a teacher training program focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) for senior secondary school lecturers from 108 schools of eminence and 10 meritorious schools in Punjab.

The workshop, held at the Mohali campus, attracted 118 educators and aimed to equip them with modern educational tools. The sessions included practical applications and experimental tools designed to engage students in learning.

Additionally, the workshop explored career opportunities in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, robotics, biosystems, and data science. Prof. Rudra Pratap, the founding vice-chancellor, emphasized the importance of empowering educators to enhance the quality of STEM education in the region, making it more experiential and project-based.
