Chỉnh sửa bởi: Veronika Nazarova

Meta is embarking on Project Waterworth, a massive subsea cable initiative spanning 50,000 km. This ambitious project aims to enhance internet connectivity across the U.S., India, Brazil, South Africa, and other regions, making it the world's longest subsea cable.

The multi-billion dollar investment will facilitate global access to AI and improve digital infrastructure. Meta highlights India as a key beneficiary, anticipating accelerated progress in its digital economy.

Project Waterworth builds on Meta's experience with over 20 previous subsea cable projects. The new cables will be laid at depths of up to 7,000 meters, with protective measures in place for high-risk areas. Subsea cables are critical to global digital infrastructure, carrying over 95% of intercontinental internet traffic.
