DE-CIX Launches Tellus for Secure Cloud Data Exchange

Chỉnh sửa bởi: Veronika Nazarova

DE-CIX has announced a significant advancement in cloud technology with the launch of Tellus, a secure and automated interconnection service designed for the exchange of sensitive data between clouds. This initiative is part of the European digital project Gaia-X and aims to enhance connectivity for real-time applications across distributed cloud environments.

Tellus offers a prototype interconnection infrastructure that automates the integration of various services, addressing previous challenges in implementing business-critical applications. By utilizing open-source software, it streamlines processes that once required manual configuration from multiple providers, thus ensuring end-to-end connectivity.

The project features a controller and service registry that operate within a super-node architecture, allowing for seamless service provisioning through application programming interfaces (APIs). During its proof-of-concept demonstration, Tellus successfully showcased its capabilities by enabling real-time data transmission for industrial applications, such as controlling robotic movements based on user inputs.

According to Christoph Dietzel, Head of Product & Research at DE-CIX, the completion of this phase marks a pivotal milestone for the future of secure and collaborative data processing, positioning Tellus as a cornerstone for intelligent business models in the evolving data economy.
