Starlink Direct To Cell Set for 2025 Launch in Eight Countries

Starlink Direct To Cell, a groundbreaking internet service from Elon Musk's SpaceX, is set to revolutionize mobile connectivity in 2025 by delivering internet directly to smartphones without the need for a home router or external antennas.

The service will initially be available in eight countries, including Chile and Peru through local telecommunications company Entel. In the United States, T-Mobile will offer Starlink connectivity to eligible customers with compatible devices and postpaid voice plans.

This innovative service relies on partnerships with local telecom providers to facilitate satellite connections, ensuring widespread coverage. Currently, seven companies across eight countries have secured agreements with Starlink to roll out this service.

Starlink Direct To Cell is poised to significantly enhance mobile internet access, especially in underserved regions, by bypassing traditional infrastructure limitations.
