Sony Launches Cloud Streaming for PlayStation Portal

In a significant update for gamers, Sony has announced the introduction of cloud streaming for its PlayStation Portal, allowing users to stream PlayStation 5 games directly from the cloud. This feature, currently in beta, enhances the versatility of the device, enabling gameplay without the need for a physical console.

The update, rolling out on November 19, supports 120 PS5 titles at up to 1080p and 60fps, while also incorporating DualSense controller features such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. This advancement is exclusively available to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, marking a pivotal step in Sony's gaming strategy.

To access the beta, users must have a stable internet connection and an active PlayStation Plus Premium membership. Once enabled, the cloud streaming option will appear on the PlayStation Portal's home screen, allowing for seamless gameplay and progress syncing via the cloud.

While the initial rollout focuses on PS5 games, the update also includes audio enhancements and improvements to the remote play experience, making the PlayStation Portal an even more attractive option for gamers looking to enjoy their favorite titles on the go.
