Dacia Set to Launch New Hatchback to Compete with Volkswagen Golf

Dacia is preparing to introduce a new model in the C segment, aiming to compete directly with the Volkswagen Golf. This unnamed vehicle will be priced competitively, following the recent success of the Bigster.

The new hatchback will feature a design that aligns with Dacia's current aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the Duster and Bigster. It will be approximately 4.45 meters long and is confirmed not to be a crossover, utilizing the CMF-B platform.

Expected design elements include a slim grille and Y-shaped headlights, resembling a 'Sandero XL.' The five-seat configuration promises a spacious trunk, enhanced by technologies familiar from the Bigster.

Under the hood, the new model will offer a range of options, including mild hybrid gasoline and LPG engines, along with two full hybrid versions producing 140 and 155 hp with automatic transmissions. Pricing is anticipated to start around €25,000, just below the Bigster.
