Autumn Blooms: A Global Celebration of Flora at Iași Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden in Iași, Romania, is set to host its 48th edition of the Autumn Flowers Exhibition from October 26 to November 17, 2024. Under the theme 'Vegetal Allegories,' this event invites visitors to reflect on the deep connections between humanity and nature.

Showcasing 463 taxa of chrysanthemums, including both Romanian and international varieties, the exhibition emphasizes the beauty and fragility of life through vibrant colors and delicate scents. Visitors can also explore a special section dedicated to 11 species and subspecies of decorative chili peppers, featuring the world-renowned 'Aji Charapita' pepper, noted for its culinary value and high price.

Additionally, the exhibition will present 230 species and varieties of decorative pumpkins and gourds, highlighting their ornamental, nutritional, and medicinal importance. Notably, many of these species originate from Asia, South America, and Africa, showcasing global biodiversity.
