CME Group Reports Record Crypto Trading Volumes, January 2025 Sees Highest Ever Volumes

Chicago, February 12 - CME Group reported record cryptocurrency trading volumes for Q4 2024, with a 300% increase in average daily trading volume to $10 billion compared to the previous year, according to its February 12 earnings call. January 2025 saw the highest-ever volumes for cryptocurrency contracts. Open interest on Bitcoin futures reached over $60 billion as of February 12.
