Nvidia Unveils Groundbreaking AI Innovations at CES 2025, Shares Surge

Las Vegas, NV - Nvidia Corporation's stock reached new heights in premarket trading on January 7, 2025, following a dynamic presentation at CES 2025. CEO Jensen Huang introduced a series of innovations, emphasizing the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.

Huang described Physical AI as the next major frontier, comparing its significance to the advent of ChatGPT in natural language processing. Goldman Sachs analyst Toshiya Hari reaffirmed a 'Buy' rating for Nvidia, citing the company's rapid innovation across hardware and software.

Central to the announcements was the RTX Blackwell family of GPUs, which includes the RTX 5090 and RTX 5070. The RTX 5090 boasts 92 billion transistors and delivers twice the performance of its predecessor, the RTX 4090. The RTX 5070 is priced at $549, targeting budget-conscious gamers.

Nvidia also launched Cosmos, an open platform for developing Physical AI applications, which integrates with the Omniverse for AI scenario simulations. In collaboration with Meta Platforms, Nvidia introduced the Llama Nemotron Language Foundation Models, aimed at enterprise AI applications.

Market reactions were positive, with Nvidia shares climbing 2.3% to $152, and Goldman Sachs setting a 12-month price target of $165.
