Skynet Secures $1.2 Million to Develop AI Agent Infrastructure

Skynet, a decentralized protocol facilitating AI agents' access to global products and services, has successfully raised $1.2 million in pre-seed funding.

The funding round attracted notable angel investors associated with GitHub, Polygon, Veracode, and Monotype. Proceeds will be allocated towards developing 'The World's Resource Blockchain,' a system aimed at enabling AI agents to autonomously execute payments and tasks across various platforms.

Vishnu Korde, Founder and CEO of Skynet, stated, 'Businesses today are designing for human users, but the next big wave is designing for AI agents.' He emphasized that Skynet's resource blockchain allows agents to access services and perform actions that typically require human intervention.

Skynet's Smart Access Points empower AI agents to interact with global services, including Booking.com, AWS, and Shopify, without manual input. This innovation simplifies operational processes for AI-driven tasks.

Built on Arbitrum's Orbit chain, Skynet's infrastructure supports advanced payment and tracking systems, enabling AI agents to manage real-world activities such as booking flights and financial portfolios.

Korde anticipates that by 2030, the number of AI agents will match the global human population, stating, 'We expect these AI agents to become new consumers, acting as proxies on behalf of humans.'

Ravikant Agrawal, Director of Growth at Polygon Labs, noted that the AI market is just beginning, predicting significant growth in the coming years.
