Meta Introduces AI-Edited Video Ads for Facebook and Instagram

Meta is set to transform the advertising landscape with AI-edited video ads on its platforms, Facebook and Instagram. The company is currently testing innovative AI video editing tools that enable advertisers to convert static images into dynamic videos.

One demonstration showcased the tool's ability to make strawberries in the background of an image appear to float around a jar. Another feature can upscale existing videos by generating 'unseen pixels' in each frame, similar to some AI image editing tools.

These advancements enhance advertisers' creativity and engagement in their campaigns. Meta plans to roll out these features more widely by early 2025, alongside a new full-screen video tab on Facebook, expanding its existing AI capabilities that include text and image generation for ad creation.
