On December 5, 2024, Nvidia Corp. announced the establishment of an artificial intelligence research and development center in Vietnam. The signing ceremony took place in Hanoi, attended by Jensen Huang, the company’s founder and CEO, and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
This initiative is part of Nvidia's strategy to enhance its presence in Southeast Asia. The project will be complemented by a data center operated by Viettel Group, which will utilize Nvidia technology to foster the development of advanced AI capabilities in Vietnam, according to the country's Investment Minister, Nguyen Chi Dung.
