Xanadu and IBM Lead Quantum Leap

Xanadu, based in Toronto, has achieved quantum supremacy, solving a complex math problem in two minutes that would take the fastest supercomputer seven million years. Their quantum computer, Borealis, showcases the potential of quantum technology for business applications like drug discovery and cybersecurity.

Meanwhile, IBM has inaugurated its first Quantum Data Center in Ehningen, Germany, expanding its fleet of utility-scale quantum computers. This center will feature the IBM Quantum system based on Heron, promising 16 times better performance and 25 times greater speed than previous systems.

European businesses, including Volkswagen and Bosch, will access these advanced quantum systems to develop quantum algorithms, marking a significant step in the global quantum computing landscape.
