Top tech CEOs and leaders from around the world will gather in Paris next week to discuss the safe development of artificial intelligence (AI). The AI Action Summit, hosted by France and India, will take place on February 10 and 11, focusing on promoting global cooperation in AI development.

The summit aims to address the potential risks of AI while promoting its benefits. France will highlight its strengths in renewable energy-powered data centers and open-source technologies. The event will also focus on promoting AI sovereignty and mitigating labor disruptions.

The summit comes amidst heightened tensions between the US and China, both leading players in the AI race. The event will be an opportunity to see if the two countries can find common ground on AI development.

Executives from major tech companies, including Alphabet and Microsoft, will attend the summit. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is scheduled to give a presentation on Tuesday.
