Brescia, December 13, 2024 - The NexLogic Group, based in Brescia, has launched BIOSCUD, a research project aimed at improving employee well-being through artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT). This initiative, co-funded with €394,000 under the IRISS program by SMACT Competence Center, addresses the challenges of Industry 5.0 by creating safer, more inclusive, and sustainable work environments.

BIOSCUD integrates advanced AI technology developed by Sapiens Analytics, which monitors key physiological parameters and workspace conditions. This includes IoT technologies and advanced environmental sensors, focusing on air quality analysis. The platform continuously tracks air quality and employee health metrics to preemptively identify potential health issues.

Developed in collaboration with the University of Brescia's Occupational Medicine Unit, BIOSCUD follows the Total Worker Health® principles to mitigate risks from hazardous agents in the workplace.

The project operates in four phases: collecting environmental and physiological data, analyzing it through neural networks and machine learning, providing air quality improvement strategies, and suggesting best practices for employee health. This real-time monitoring allows companies to address environmental conditions and health metrics effectively.

“Bioscud has been a success, improving well-being, reducing absenteeism, and increasing productivity,” said Mirko Taglietti, CEO of NexLogic Group. “After 15 years of research on indoor environments, this project emphasizes biophilic design to enhance focus and reduce stress.”
