Google has launched a dedicated Gemini app for iOS, allowing Apple users to access its AI platform more easily. Previously, iOS users could only interact with Gemini through the main Google app or a web browser.
The new app features Gemini Live, enabling voice conversations in 12 languages, with support for text prompts in 35 languages. It also allows users to generate images using Google's Imagen 3 model.
In addition to facilitating study plans and quizzes tailored to individual learning styles, the app connects seamlessly with other Google services like YouTube, Google Maps, and Gmail.
While the app is now available for download, it faces competition from upcoming updates to Apple’s Siri, which will integrate ChatGPT access and enhance system-wide controls.
