Abu Dhabi Oil Company Partners with AIQ for Advanced AI Solutions

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has partnered with AIQ to implement agentic artificial intelligence, aiming to enhance efficiency in the energy sector. This initiative was announced by CEO Sultan Al Jaber at the Adipec conference.

Al Jaber highlighted that the new AI technology will reduce the time required for seismic surveys from months to days and improve production forecast accuracy by up to 90%, while also contributing to sustainability by lowering emissions.

In September, Microsoft and G42 established two AI centers in Abu Dhabi, following a $1.5 billion agreement. G42 aims to become a leading AI force in the Middle East and is part of the $1.5 trillion enterprise of Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a key UAE official.

Microsoft is actively developing AI agents capable of performing various tasks autonomously, with applications already seen in employee onboarding and supply chain management. Al Jaber also noted that investments in the power sector must increase to $1.5 trillion annually to meet the growing demands of AI.
