BMW has introduced significant updates to its iX electric SUV, enhancing its electric system and performance metrics.
The iX xDrive45 now delivers 300 kW (408 hp), accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. The xDrive60 offers 400 kW (544 hp), reaching the same speed in 4.6 seconds, while the high-performance M70 xDrive boasts 485 kW (659 hp) and a torque peak of 1100 Nm.
Battery capacities have also improved: the entry model features a usable capacity of 94.8 kWh, while the xDrive60 and M70 xDrive have 109.1 kWh and 108.9 kWh, respectively. This enhancement allows for a range of 490-701 kilometers depending on the model.
New charging capabilities include a maximum of 175 kW for the entry model and 195 kW for the others, with a heat pump for optimal winter performance. The iX supports Plug & Charge functionality and improved navigation for charging points.
Driver assistance systems include a Highway Assistant for semi-autonomous driving and smartphone-controlled parking. The suspension has been recalibrated for better weight distribution, and the M70 xDrive features advanced adaptive damping and all-wheel steering.
Exterior updates maintain the original silhouette but introduce a refined grille design and new LED lighting. Interior options include M Sport packages with multifunctional seats and a premium audio system. The 2025 iX lineup showcases a blend of performance, efficiency, and technology advancements.
