Audi Unveils Enhanced RS E-tron GT Performance: Fastest Audi Yet at $167,000

Audi has announced updates for its fully electric E-tron GT sports sedan, now set for the 2025 model lineup. Key enhancements include increased performance, battery range, and charging speed, resulting in a higher starting price.

The E-tron GT range introduces the new S E-tron GT model, priced from $125,500, significantly above the base model's $100,000 since its launch in 2022. The new RS E-tron GT Performance version starts at $167,000, up from $140,000 for the 2022 model.

This Performance version claims the title of the fastest Audi, featuring a special RS performance mode that delivers 912 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds, rivaling the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.

The updated E-tron GT boasts a 105 kWh battery (usable capacity of 97 kWh), an improvement from the previous 93.4 kWh. Additionally, Audi has reduced the battery weight by 25 pounds. The new battery supports faster 320 kW charging, allowing it to go from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes at compatible DC fast charging stations. The EPA estimates a range of 300 miles on a single charge, 51 miles more than the 2024 model.

The new RS E-tron GT Performance models will be produced in limited quantities at Audi's Böllinger Höfe plant in Germany and are now available for order in the U.S. Industry experts have positively reviewed the E-tron GT updates.
