On October 15-16, 2024, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is visiting Pakistan, where he has been welcomed by senior officials including Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Deputy Foreign Minister Shafqat Ali Khan. The visit includes trilateral talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene, as well as separate meetings with his Chinese and Mongolian counterparts and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
On October 16, Mishustin will participate in the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The meeting is expected to include the Prime Ministers of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, along with Iran's First Vice President and a senior representative from India. Participants will discuss priority tasks aimed at deepening trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation within the SCO framework.
