France Announces €109 Billion AI Investment; Macron Unveils European AI Strategy at Paris Summit

Paris, France - French President Emmanuel Macron announced a €109 billion investment to boost France's artificial intelligence sector over the coming years. The announcement was made during the Paris AI summit.

The financing includes a €20 billion investment in AI projects in France by Canadian investment firm Brookfield and potential financing from the United Arab Emirates that could reach €50 billion. Companies like Amazon, Apollo Global Management, Digital Realty, Equinix, and FluidStack have also pledged significant investments.

During the summit, co-hosted by India, Macron also unveiled plans for a European AI strategy. He emphasized France's commitment to AI development and its advantages, including being Europe's largest nuclear power producer with low carbon emissions.
