Russia Launches Drone Attack on Civilian Facility in Kharkiv, Causing Major Fire

On February 2, 2025, Russia conducted a drone strike on a civilian facility in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, resulting in a significant fire at the production and storage building. The State Emergency Service reported that the fire covered an area of 2,000 square meters.

The fire was localized by 01:27 AM, and efforts to extinguish it are ongoing. A total of 45 firefighters and 8 units of emergency equipment have been deployed to manage the situation. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties.

This incident follows a previous night of intense bombardment, during which Russia launched nearly 170 missiles and drones across Ukraine. Earlier on February 1, a Russian missile struck a residential apartment building in Poltava, claiming the lives of 12 individuals, including two children, and injuring 17 others, with four of those being children.
