The Global AI Healthcare Academy has welcomed 3,750 of AbuDhabi’s healthcare professionals

ABU DHABI - Since its launch, the Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Healthcare Academy has trained over 3,750 healthcare professionals from the Emirate's healthcare sector.

The Academy, initiated by the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi in collaboration with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, aims to enhance AI capabilities among healthcare workers. This initiative follows a memorandum signed during Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week in May 2024.

The Academy focuses on creating a skilled workforce capable of improving diagnostic and operational efficiency in healthcare. Training sessions cover crucial topics such as AI applications in radiology, cardiology, and advanced data analytics.

Dr. Rashed Alsuwaidi, Acting Director General of Healthcare Regulatory at DoH, emphasized the importance of equipping healthcare professionals with cutting-edge AI technologies to enhance service quality and efficiency. Sultan Al Hajji from MBZUAI highlighted the Academy's role in advancing patient-centered care and establishing Abu Dhabi as a global leader in AI-driven health innovation.
