Google Launches AI Video Creation Tool Google Vids

Google has officially launched Google Vids, an AI application designed to simplify video creation. Integrated into Google Workspace, this tool enables users to produce dynamic videos for various needs, whether professional or creative.

Previously perceived as a technical and time-consuming task, video content creation is now accessible to amateurs thanks to AI advancements. Google Vids aims to democratize video production by providing an easy-to-use platform for everyone.

Available to users on several paid Google Workspace plans, including Business Standard, Plus, Enterprise, and Education Plus, Google Vids was initially limited to Gemini subscribers. The application features automatic storyboards, multimedia content suggestions, and AI-generated voiceovers.

With Google Vids, users can quickly transform text or documents into videos. The 'Help me create' tool generates an initial structure, allowing users to easily add animations, photo effects, and royalty-free content. For a more professional finish, it includes pre-recorded voiceovers and a teleprompter.

Although some advanced features, like the teleprompter, are currently available only in English, Google plans to expand these capabilities to other languages. Users will have access to Google Vids until the end of 2025, after which some features may be restricted. Meanwhile, this tool empowers the public to create engaging videos for various purposes, from training to social media.
