GEM Hospital in Coimbatore, in collaboration with FUJIFILM India, has installed Tamil Nadu's first CAD EYE Artificial Intelligence (AI) system, aimed at enhancing early detection of gastrointestinal (GI) cancers.
This groundbreaking technology was launched by Dr. C. Palanivelu, Chairman of GEM Hospital, alongside Dr. P. Praveen Raj, CEO, and Dr. Parthasarathy, COO. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the region's healthcare.
With an increasing prevalence of stomach cancer in India, early detection is crucial. Dr. Palanivelu stated that the CAD EYE AI system could significantly reduce the burden of GI cancers.
