Meanwhile, the National Stand-Up Paddling Championship 2024 took place at Pirappanvalasi Beach, Rameswaram, where Sekar Patchai from Tamil Nadu dominated the men's events by clinching all titles. In the women's division, Tanvi Jagdish won the Distance Race, and Anandi Arthi emerged victorious in the Sprint race, dethroning the defending champion Monika P. The event highlighted the growing popularity of water sports in India, with record participation reported.
