Franz Ferdinand has released the music video for their latest single, "Night Or Day," which is part of their forthcoming album, "The Human Fear," set to be released on January 10, 2025. This marks the band's first studio album since 2018's "Always Ascending" and their 2022 greatest hits compilation, "Hits to the Head." The video, directed by Rianne White, is shot in black and white on 16mm film, capturing the emotional intensity of the band's Scottish recording studio, AYR Studios.
Produced by Mark Ralph, who also contributed to the band's 2013 album, "Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action," "The Human Fear" features 11 tracks that delve into the exploration of human fears and their impact on life. This album introduces new members Audrey Tait and Dino Bardot, alongside Julian Corrie, who joins Alex Kapranos and Bob Hardy in songwriting and production roles.
To celebrate the album's release, Franz Ferdinand will embark on a headline tour across the UK and Europe, starting in February 2025. Many of the tour dates have already sold out, with select tickets available through the band's official website. Known for their hit, "Take Me Out," the band has sold over 10 million albums globally and received multiple Brit and Mercury awards, continuing their tradition of blending art-school aesthetics with catchy pop hooks.
