A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 struck the Caribbean Sea on Saturday, triggering a tsunami warning for Cuba, Honduras, and the Cayman Islands.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of ten kilometers, 209 kilometers southwest of George Town in the Cayman Islands, at 6:23 PM local time (12:23 AM GMT). The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported the earthquake's magnitude.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a warning, indicating that waves could reach up to 3 meters in Cuba and up to 1 meter in Honduras and the Cayman Islands.
