Southern regions of the United States, including Florida and New Orleans, have experienced unprecedented snowfall. In Milton, Florida, snowfall reached 9.8 inches (24.9 centimeters), which could surpass the state's historical record established in 1954.

In Pensacola, Florida, the airport recorded 7.6 inches (19.3 centimeters), breaking the previous record of 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) set in 1895. New Orleans saw snowfall totals of up to 10 inches (25 centimeters), exceeding the previous record of 2.7 inches (6.8 centimeters) from 1963.

Houston experienced up to 4 inches (10 centimeters) of snow, with preliminary reports of 6 inches (15 centimeters) near La Porte. In Charleston, South Carolina, over 4 inches of snow prompted airport closures and impacted the Ravenel Bridge due to ice accumulation.

Mobile, Alabama, recorded 6.2 inches (15.7 centimeters), breaking a snowfall record that had stood since 1881. Several Gulf Coast communities near Mobile also reported unofficial totals exceeding 9 inches (23 centimeters).
