Essex Police have released a collection of reports detailing unusual objects and lights observed in the skies above Essex. The reports span from 2014 to 2023, with a notable increase in sightings between 2016 and 2023.
One report from 2015 describes a UFO seen in Chelmsford, described as having "lights at the slimmer end and the front was pointy." The witness claimed to have taken a picture of the object. Another report from 2015 mentions "suspicious" lights near Stansted Airport.
Other reports include sightings of "strobe lights" in Southend-on-Sea, a "parachute with something long dangling beneath it" in Maldon, and "some really strange lights" appearing in the sky, described as a "gold orangey colour."
