Duran Duran to Headline Chelmsford City Live: A Summer Music Spectacle

British music icons Duran Duran are set to delight fans next summer when they headline Chelmsford City Live, one of only two UK headline shows in 2025. The multi-award winning Rock & Roll Hall of Famers will perform on Saturday, July 5, alongside special guests Nile Rodgers & CHIC.

Justin Timberlake will headline the festival on Friday, July 4, while Olly Murs has his biggest homecoming show on Sunday, July 6. Tickets for Duran Duran go on sale to the general public at 9 am on Friday.

With a capacity of up to 30,000 people each day, Chelmsford City Live promises to be a grand event. Duran Duran has sold over 100 million records worldwide, with 18 American hit singles and 21 UK Top 20 tunes, solidifying their status as one of the most successful bands of all time.

Formed in Birmingham in 1978, the band continues to captivate audiences globally. Their recent albums, including 2021's Future Past and last year's Danse Macabre, showcase their innovative spirit and ability to reinvent themselves.

Audiences can expect a thrilling mix of classics like Girls on Film and Rio alongside new songs from Danse Macabre. Nile Rodgers, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, will add to the excitement with hits from his extensive career.

Chelmsford City Live is a collaboration between Chelmsford City Racecourse and Live Nation promoters Cuffe and Taylor. Promoter Ben Hatton expressed excitement about Duran Duran's participation, emphasizing their global icon status and the festival's potential to become Essex's largest live music event.

With a stellar lineup, including Duran Duran, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Justin Timberlake, and Olly Murs, Chelmsford City Live is set to be a remarkable celebration of music next summer.
