ISLAMABAD, Oct 24, 2024 - The Pakistani rupee (PKR) depreciated by 12 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading, closing at PKR 277.84 compared to the previous day's PKR 277.72. The Forex Association of Pakistan reported the open market rates for the dollar at PKR 277.30 for buying and PKR 278.80 for selling.
Against the Euro, the PKR fell by 62 paisa, closing at PKR 300.08, while the British Pound increased by 33 paisa, ending the day at PKR 360.40. The Japanese yen remained stable at PKR 1.82. Additionally, the exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal rose by 3 paisa and 2 paisa, respectively, closing at PKR 75.64 and PKR 73.98.
In summary, the PKR showed a slight decline against several major currencies today, continuing a trend observed in recent trading sessions.
