Delska's New Data Centre in Riga to Support AI Growth

Delska has reached a significant milestone with the topping out of its Tier III-certified, 10MW data centre in Riga, Latvia. Scheduled to launch in August 2025, this facility represents a €30 million investment and is one of only 20 LEED-certified buildings in Latvia.

The 6,000-square-metre data centre will house up to 1,000 racks and is designed for scalability, with the potential to expand to 30MW. It aims to meet the rising demand for high-power computing, particularly for AI applications.

The project was celebrated by notable attendees, including the Latvian Speaker of the Parliament, Daiga Mierina, and the Minister of Climate and Energy, Kaspars Melnis. They emphasized the project's role in enhancing the Latvian economy and the IT sector's global competitiveness.

In line with its commitment to sustainability, Delska aims for net zero CO2 emissions by 2030. The data centre will be powered entirely by green energy and utilize Neste MY diesel for backup generators. It will feature an innovative cooling system, ensuring a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) under 1.3.

CEO Andris Gailitis stated, 'With the establishment of this data centre, we are fully prepared to deliver the required space and power capacity, especially as AI tools demand more resources.'

Delska also plans to build another data centre in Lithuania, further expanding its regional data centre and network ecosystem.
