Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced the launch of Project DIGITS, touted as the world’s smallest AI supercomputer, at CES 2025. Priced at $3,000, this innovative device aims to democratize advanced AI development for researchers, data scientists, and students.

Powered by the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, Project DIGITS delivers a petaflop of AI performance in a compact desktop form. It features 128GB of unified memory, up to 4TB of NVMe storage, and the capability to run AI models with up to 200 billion parameters. By connecting two systems, users can manage models with 405 billion parameters.

Developed in partnership with MediaTek, the supercomputer operates on Nvidia's Linux-based DGX OS and integrates with Nvidia's AI ecosystem. It supports popular development tools such as PyTorch, NVIDIA NeMo, and RAPIDS, facilitating smooth model prototyping, fine-tuning, and deployment across local and cloud environments.

Huang emphasized the device's potential to empower millions of developers by placing a powerful AI supercomputer on every researcher's desk.
