This tool is designed to generate high-quality images and videos based on text prompts, utilizing a 30 billion parameter transformer model.
The Movie Gen can perform various tasks, including text-to-video synthesis and video personalization. Users can create and edit video clips using text prompts or transform photos into short videos. Although the technology is not yet widely available, Meta envisions a future where users can easily generate and edit videos for social media platforms.
However, the introduction of this technology has raised significant concerns regarding privacy, copyright issues, and the safety of children, as the potential for misuse in doxing and other harmful activities looms large.
