Paris, France – The AI Action Summit concluded with a joint statement endorsed by 58 countries, the European Union, and the African Union, advocating for ethical and inclusive AI development.
Co-chaired by India and France, the summit emphasized addressing inequalities and supporting developing nations in building AI capabilities.
The statement, titled 'Inclusive and Sustainable Artificial Intelligence for People and the Planet,' promotes a human-centric, rights-based approach to AI.
Notably, the United States and the United Kingdom did not sign the joint statement.
The summit recognized progress made by the UN, UNESCO, and other international bodies in establishing ethical AI frameworks.
