JSW MG Motor India's electric vehicle (EV) sales soared over 250% year-on-year (y-o-y) in January. The company sold 4,237 EV units, up from 1,203 units in the same month last year.
The strong performance is attributed to the company's expanding EV portfolio, which includes the Comet, Windsor, and ZS models. JSW MG is also set to launch the Cyberster and the M9 soon.
The Windsor model, in particular, has been a major driver of sales, exceeding 10,000 units in just three months.
India's electric car market is led by Tata Motors, which sold 5,047 units in January, capturing a 44.80% market share.
Overall, India's electric car sales reached 11,266 units in January, a 32.28% increase compared to the same period last year.
