Citroën C3 Aircross: A New Generation of Compact SUV with Hybrid and Electric Options

Citroën has launched a new generation of its compact SUV, the C3 Aircross, offering a range of powertrains including gasoline, hybrid, and electric options. The new model features a redesigned interior and exterior, including a squared-off design that aligns with the brand's new styling direction.

The C3 Aircross is built on the Smart Car platform, shared with the Citroën C3, Fiat Panda, and Opel Frontera. It measures 4,390 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width, and 1,633 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. Cargo capacity varies depending on the configuration, with the five-seater version offering 330 liters and the seven-seater version offering only 40 liters.

The engine lineup includes a 100 hp gasoline engine, a 136 hp Mild Hybrid, and a 113 hp electric variant with a claimed range of 300 kilometers. The Mild Hybrid version combines a 136 hp 1.2-liter PureTech three-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 48V lithium-ion battery.

The C3 Aircross features a redesigned interior with a new dashboard inspired by the Peugeot i-Cockpit, featuring a compact steering wheel and a raised instrument cluster. The new Advanced Comfort seats are more comfortable, offering additional foam padding and redesigned lateral support.

The new C3 Aircross is equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, two USB-C ports in the front and two in the rear, and wireless charging for compatible smartphones.

The C3 Aircross is expected to be available in March, with starting prices of €19,090 for the PureTech 100 version, €24,790 for the Hybrid 136 version, and €26,790 for the electric variant.
