Tenable Launches AI Aware to Enhance Cybersecurity for AI Solutions

Dubai, UAE -- Tenable® has launched AI Aware, a new tool designed to enhance detection capabilities for artificial intelligence vulnerabilities within its vulnerability management platform.

The rapid adoption of AI technologies has introduced significant cybersecurity risks that organizations must address proactively. Tenable's research indicates that over one-third of security teams have detected AI applications in their environments that were not formally provisioned.

During a recent 75-day study, Tenable identified over 9 million instances of AI applications across more than 1 million hosts, highlighting the urgent need for effective vulnerability detection and remediation.

Tenable AI Aware employs a combination of agents, passive network monitoring, and dynamic application security testing to detect both approved and unapproved AI software and associated vulnerabilities. This comprehensive approach aims to mitigate risks such as data leakage and unauthorized resource consumption.

“Organizations around the world have rushed to adopt AI, often overlooking critical cybersecurity and compliance issues,” said Shai Morag, Chief Product Officer at Tenable. “AI Aware empowers organizations to deploy AI confidently while ensuring their security measures keep pace with rapid technological changes.”

Key features of AI Aware include dashboard views for common AI software, shadow software development detection, and asset-centric AI inventory, which help organizations manage and prioritize AI-related vulnerabilities effectively.

This initiative underscores the growing importance of cybersecurity in the age of AI, as Tenable continues to support over 44,000 customers globally in mitigating exposure risks.
