Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport canceled over 100 flights on Friday due to strong gusty winds caused by the Darragh low-pressure system. Additional delays were reported across various transport modes, including rail and road services. The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) issued a yellow weather warning for nearly the entire country.

The airport advised travelers to monitor flight updates or contact their airlines. A spokesperson stated that passengers should anticipate cancellations and delays for both incoming and outgoing flights.

KNMI forecasts strong gusty winds reaching speeds of 75 to 100 kilometers per hour throughout much of the Netherlands on Friday morning. The winds pose risks to transportation, particularly for cyclists and drivers of trucks and cars with trailers. Falling tree branches may also create hazards.

ProRail, responsible for railway infrastructure, reported widespread issues due to fallen trees on the tracks. The strong winds have affected multiple regions, with significant delays reported around Almere, where a tree fell onto the railway line.

Previously, the Darragh low-pressure system caused disruptions in Ireland and the UK before moving southward towards northern France.
