Azerbaijan and Palestine discuss cooperation and regional security

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the new Palestinian Ambassador to Baku, Ahmad Methani. Methani presented copies of his credentials to Bayramov. The parties discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Palestine. They also addressed the security situation in the Middle East and Gaza. Emphasis was placed on establishing peace and reconstruction efforts in the post-conflict period. The positive dynamics in the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Palestine were noted. Prospects for expanding partnerships within regional and international organizations, including the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, were highlighted. The sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest. Ahmad Methani affirmed that he will make efforts for further development of relations between the two countries.
