France, Germany, and the UK have jointly called on Israel to immediately lift its blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza, which has lasted for over 50 days. The foreign ministers of the three nations issued a joint statement highlighting the severe risk of starvation, disease outbreaks, and death faced by Palestinian civilians, including one million children.
The ministers condemned the politicization of humanitarian aid and criticized Israeli plans for a continued presence in Gaza after the conflict. They emphasized that humanitarian aid should not be used as a political tool and that Israel is obligated under international law to allow the unhindered passage of aid. The statement also demanded that Israel ensure safe access for the UN and humanitarian organizations throughout Gaza.
Furthermore, the ministers expressed outrage at recent Israeli strikes on humanitarian personnel and facilities, urging Israel to meet the urgent healthcare needs of the population. They reiterated calls for all parties to return to a ceasefire and demanded that Hamas immediately release all remaining hostages.
