Israeli Attacks on Gaza Intensify Amidst Humanitarian Crisis

Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

On Wednesday, Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip resulted in at least 16 fatalities, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian situation. The two-month-long blockade has led to severe food shortages and starvation among the Palestinian population.

The attacks included strikes on homes in Jabalia, Khan Younis, Deir el-Balah, and Bani Suheila. These attacks follow reports from Tuesday night of 31 deaths and numerous injuries from an Israeli strike on a school sheltering displaced people in the Bureij refugee camp.

The UNRWA has called for an end to the Israeli siege. Egypt and Qatar, with US mediation, reaffirmed their commitment to a ceasefire agreement to address the humanitarian crisis. Hamas has stated that ceasefire talks are meaningless while the 'war of starvation' continues.
