Denmark invests $4.2 billion in offshore wind projects

Denmark is allocating 27.6 billion Danish kroner ($4.2 billion) in state aid to boost investments in offshore wind energy. This initiative aims to reignite interest in the sector following a recent unsuccessful government tender.

The government announced a broad political agreement to support three offshore wind projects. These projects will have a combined capacity of 3 gigawatts and will be put up for bids, according to a statement released by the energy ministry on Monday.

This investment underscores Denmark's commitment to renewable energy and its ambition to become a leader in offshore wind power generation. The move is expected to attract significant private investment and accelerate the country's transition to a greener economy.
