Tata Power Explores $5.63 Billion Green Energy Investment in Andhra Pradesh

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) announced on Friday, March 7, its exploration of establishing 7 gigawatts (GW) of green energy projects in Andhra Pradesh, India. The investment is projected to reach 490 billion Indian rupees ($5.63 billion). TPREL, a subsidiary of Tata Power, is considering solar, wind, and hybrid clean energy projects, potentially including storage solutions. This initiative marks one of the largest renewable energy investments in Andhra Pradesh. India aims to install 500 GW of non-fossil fuel electricity generation capacity by 2030.
