The UK plans to create a new centre that will combat disinformation and help establish global standards for artificial intelligence safety.
This was announced by Prime Minister Andy Burnham at the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to the head of government, Russian agencies are actively using bots and fake websites to spread lies.
Burnham stressed that the UK is ready to act as an honest broker in these matters.
He also noted that artificial intelligence is capable of multiplying existing threats many times over — following warnings that the technology could pose a danger to humanity.
The new centre is intended to counter these challenges at the international level.
