Talk About a Promotion: Car Salesman Turns Out to Be a Prince-1
👑 Mom said, 'Your dad is a prince.' And she wasn't joking. From the showroom to the royal family: the car salesman turned out to be a Belgian prince.

Here is a plot that a romantic comedy screenwriter would have to tone down a bit for the audience to believe it.

A 26-year-old Belgian Clément Vandenkerckhove worked as an ordinary car salesman after school. But there was one small "but" in his biography: his father turned out to be a real prince.

Clément's mother—Belgian singer and former model Wendy Van Wanten —told her son when he was only 16 that his biological father was Prince Laurent, the younger brother of King Philippe of Belgium.

A few years later, Clément contacted Laurent, and they eventually took a DNA test together. The result— a 99,5% match.

After that, the story reached a quite official conclusion: Prince Laurent legally recognized Clément as his son, and he joined the Belgian royal family.

Now Clément is entitled to a royal title and a share of his father's private inheritance. However, he is not entitled to a royal allowance, there will be no official duties, and he is not in the line of succession to the throne.

Clément himself says that money and status are not the main things for him. Far more important is the opportunity to finally get to know his own father properly.

But the situation is wonderful nonetheless:

in the morning you sell cars, and in the evening it turns out that the phrase "actually, I'm a prince" isn't a pickup line, but family history. 😄
