Redmi Note 17 Pro Max: the smartphone that simply refuses to die

Redmi Note 17

Xiaomi is bringing the Redmi Note 17 series to the global market. And while the standard models look like typical mid-range "Notes," the top-tier versions— Pro Max —have clearly decided to surprise us.

The main trump card is the battery at 10 000 mAh. Not "almost ten thousand," but a full ten. For comparison: most flagships still run on 5000–6000 mAh and pride themselves on two days of battery life. Here, we are talking about three days of active use, or even more, if you don't overdo it with gaming and navigation.

Charging, meanwhile, doesn't disappoint—100 W. This means even such a "power bank" can be filled up quite quickly. Though, they likely won't include the charger in the box—a classic move for the year 2026.

The screen on the Pro Max is a 6,83-inch AMOLED with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The processor is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. The cameras are modest by today's standards (the main one is 50 MP), but in this segment, people usually choose not for "100x zoom," but specifically so the phone doesn't die in the middle of the day.

Protection is also up to par: high levels of dust and water resistance are claimed (up to IP69K in some versions). In other words, the device is clearly designed for those who don't use a case and aren't afraid of dropping their phone.

Who is this for? Those tired of hunting for an outlet every evening. Students, couriers, those who travel a lot, or simply those who don't like worrying about charging. In the year 2026, a large battery has once again become one of the strongest arguments in the mid-range segment—and Redmi has understood this perfectly.

Prices and exact configurations haven't been officially revealed yet, but it feels like the model should fall into the usual Note price range. If the battery life truly turns out to be as promised, competitors are going to have a serious headache.
